World CNG, a Seattle-based company, argues that based on current market conditions Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) already delivers a savings at the pump. According to their website, CNG can deliver a 50 percent savings, compared to traditional automotive fuels. With the price of gasoline only expected to increase over the summer, CNG might become even more price competitive.
CNG is also better for the environment. CNG emits less pollutant, including carbon dioxide, and because it's a gas, has a reduced environmental impact in case of a leak or spill.
In business for more than 25 years, World CNG specializes in the conversion of passenger and cargo vehicles to use CNG fuel systems. Check out this video as they showcase the features of a fully transformed Ford Escape into a CNG vehicle.
The CNG discussion is definitely a growing trend as domestic natural gas production continues to increase. What do you think? Will CNG be the future of transportation fuel?
